Tropical Breeze - When I got her, she came with a pick comb and a blue metallic ribbon. I still have her purple pick comb, and I found the ribbon when I was cleaning out my toy chest. I was very gratifying to see it reunited with Breeze. :) Of course, her wings are gone (how did they expect those to hold up against 7 year olds playing?) Her beautiful tail and mane were massacred when I had a fit of insanity and tried to beat the Frizz. Tragically, she was not the only pony to suffer this fate.

Starshine - I believe she was my first pony. I got her for Christmas when I was 5-ish. Though her ribbon is (of course) gone, I still have her original pink, plain comb. Starshine was also a victim of the great hair massacre. Her mane now has a layered look, and the tail is a mere 3 inches . . . sniff . . .

Gusty - Saved from the ravages of scissors by her beautiful winking eyes (coff coff), she is a Beddy-Bye-Eye baby. I got her for Christmas one year, the same year I got Cuddles. That same Christmas I got a toy hair dresser set. This set included two curlers. One was bestowed upon Gusty another on Starshine (later to be passed on to Cuddles). All three ended up with Mohawk-like hair for a long time. The others recovered with time; Gusty was not so lucky. She came with a purple high chair, yellow topped bottle, wheel-duck on a pull-string, purple heart bib, purple duck comb and a box with a diaper in it. I still have all but the box for the diaper and I have replaced the comb. She was my only unicorn, which made her special . . . but that didn't save her from the abuse to come. Gusty is minty other than for two things: she has eye rust, expected of many Beddy-Bye-Eyed ponies, and her horn has been chewed on. I DIDN"T DO IT!! And that's the sad fact. Gusty was maimed by my best friend Julie Davis who also crippled my Hawaiian Barbie my masticating her foot. Ah, well. I forgive her, though I wish she hadn't had such a chewing fixation!

Wind Whistler - One of my favorite ponies I still have her sticker which still has a nice smell, and her original purple dove brush. She was my favorite, and so was usually Queen, though when I got Munchy, it was half and half. At school sometimes one of my friends would have a paper of earrings. These were the kind that were just little pieces of plastic with adhesive on the back-Children of the Eighties, Remember!!! I think they still sell them, so some of the younger people out there might know them too. Any way, one would inevitably fall off my ear, so I would be left with one. It would become the hidden mark of royalty. For years, the princess would be missing, having been kidnapped, till one day she was found through the mark of the royal-born under her hoof, and be crowned, bringing in a new age for all ponies. Wind Whistler is in good condition for a So-Soft. The only rubs are on her hooves and a little on her wings, the expected places for fuzz loss. However, Wind Whistler too was a victim of the Tail Plague. The shears did not spare her, and she was left with a three inch tail; thankfully, her mane escaped.

Megan and Sundance - The tragic story of the ill fated duo. I had all the accessories they originally came with and loved them dearly. Naturally they came with me on my first trip to Florida. The awful separation came on the day I was to return home. That morning, Megan and Sundance were exploring the caves of the sheets on my bed when it was, all of a sudden, time to go. In the rush to get into the taxi, Megan was left in the sheets. Sundance escaped with only her bridle as a memory of her dear friend. (If you were on a trip to Key West ca. 1987 and found a Megan doll in your hotel room, contact me . . . She's Mine!!!) Sundance was later to come to even more tragedy as she was a victim of the great hair massacre of '91. Though her beautiful mane went on unscathed, her tail was pitifully savaged, now being a mere 2.5 inches long . . . oh the pain!!!! Though her ribbon was tied around Megan's waist and therefore gone, Sundance still has her blue, plain comb and brush.

Magic Star - Till Munchy arrived, she was the alternate queen, but it didn't suit her well as she preferred to be the one manipulating behind the scenes-the real power, not a figurehead. Magic Star has her purple dove brush and while she no longer has her ribbon, she does have something that outweighs either: her pedestal. She has holes in her feet into which fit two pegs on the stand. This allows her to stand reared, regardless of the terrain. I am very proud of myself for still having this. In addition, she also still has her original sticker that still smells good, a fact for which I am also proud.

Cuddles - I have every thing of Cuddle's buggy but double lace that encircles the basket. Not bad for having been played with for years by a small child! Because she has no official mother, Cuddles was adopted by Wind Whistler, because of their similar coloration. Because of that, Cuddles was often princess, a situation which suited her. In addition to the accessories, I also still have Cuddles' original sticker which also still smells good.

Munchy - She was the final pony of my childhood. Mentioned aforehand, she instantly became my favorite and was bestowed the honor of Queenship numerous times. Munchy would often be the missing jewel queen as was Wind Whistler, but more often, she was their intrepid leader. She would lead the ponies away from the old land where life had grown hard and they had become outlaws, or at least fallen into ill favor with the rulers of the land. The ponies would follow her expert trails, over couches and dogs and untold dangers until they finally reached the home they were searching for. Munchy, being my favorite, miraculously escaped the tail phage. In addition, I still have her original yellow-orange bow as well as her lime green sun pick comb. She is basically minty other than one small purple mark on the side that doesn't show when she is posing. I still favor her because she is in such good condition, with silky smooth hair and the love of my childhood still holds strong.
