"The Good Old Days" is the second song in "Escape from Catrina," the second My Little Pony special. After demonstrations of previously unequaled acts of coldness, cruelty and general meanness by Catrina, Rep wishes for the good old days: the days before the witchweed potion and Catrina's craving for power. He preferred the simple times when Catrina was kind and sweet, instead of the monster she has become.

According to Dream Valley "this song was edited out when the special was broken up into a two-part episode for syndication." Whoda thunk?

There is a bit of pertinent dialogue in the MP3 before the actual song begins. All is transcribed below:

Rep:  What happened to the good old days?
There used to be a time, or maybe you've forgotten,
When you weren't mean and rotten.
Remember those good (before you turned bad) old days?

Catrina:  Don't hand me that line! I've heard enough!
I like to play rough and if you don't it's tough!

Rep:  Oh, how I long to see the sweetie-puss you used to be,
The cute, cuddly kitten sittin' on my knee.

Catrina:  That girl is gone, good riddence to her!
My advice: forget you knew her!
But now I'm in my prime, the peak of my power!
And soon I'll make the whole world cower!

Rep:  And the sweet pussycat I knew?

Catrina:  She made like a windstorm and (blows magically strong wind)

Catrina:  She's gone, like those good

Rep:   (before you turned bad)

Both:  Old days!
