Once again, from my MLP Epic. This is the scene where the Seadragons have deposited Stormy on the shores of Ponyland. Seashell, on her daily stroll of the beach finds Stormy (in a wonderful scallop shell which becomes the pride of her collection...) Until Stormy's past is revealed later in the story, this is the earliest tale she has of her life. It is often a family joke that the only reason Seashell saved Stormy is because she was on such a magnificent specimen of a shell, otherwise she might have just walked by and continued her beachcombing.
This sketch was actually done in September 2004 and is done completely in pen. I was very pleased with how it came out, particuarly because I stink at backgrounds, but this one came out well. I'm getting better at actually drawing backgrounds, but coloring is something else altogether...
