A year went by before I did alot with coloring again. In this case I had gotten thinking about my MLP epic and wanted to draw a Seadragon from a different vantage than I had before. I'm not sure exactly when I drew it, but it was sometime in the previous academic year. I really like how all the shading came out for this girl, particularly the face, though the eyes seem a little off.
I wrote a small paragraph at the time I drew this next to the drawing to explain Seadragons, here it is:
The Seadragons are technically related to My Little Ponies. They separated from the seaponies millenia ago and have adapted to the harsher living conditions of cold rocky shores and the depths of the ocean. in response to this hard life, their appearance has changed to more resemble dragons than their close cousins of the warm costal waters and rivers: the seaponies. Despite their fierce looks and reclusive natures, the Seadragons are gentle and kind, and often help shipwrecked or drowning individuals. Their most striking talent is their eerie, haunting and beautiful siren song, with which they communicate across great distances.
