Repairs for Collection Ponies

One thing you can do to a pony in your collection, or one you are customizing for that matter, is repair chips in the eye. As shown on the left, Princess Sparkle has a chip of black removed from her eye, you can see the base of green paint that the black was painted over. To repair such a blemish, take black acrylic paint and carefully fill in the chip. Try not to paint over all the black because there will be a difference in thickness of the paint. Then put a thin coat of clear nailpolish on it. This is because the paint has a different sheen than the original paint and the nailpolish evens it out. Other repairs are partial or total mane replacements, tail replacements and symbol repairs. Symbol repairs can be accomplished in a similar manner to eye repairs, but be very careful, you only get on chance. If you are trying to match a paint color, try it out on the underside of a hoof and let it dry. Paint tends to change color when it dries so you want to match dried color to the symbol. This test spot can then be removed with nail polish remover or acetone and will at most leave a small stain, though there may be no mark left at all. Manes and tails can be repaired or replaced in the manner described in previous sections.
