I got into customizations when my best friend's 18th birthday was coming up and all I had gotten her so far was a GloWorm. Now mind you, she had expressed desire for one and given me money to buy it, and I had told her later that they were sold out (it was true, I bought if for her!) so don't think I was being cheap or something, but I felt I needed something else. I was lying in bed one night when I thought "Hey, what about making her a custom pony?" Michele always liked ponies, still has hers and admires my collection, so it was perfect; I'd make her her own personal pony. Since then my expertise has grown vastly and I have made many many more custom ponies out of poor bedraggled abused ponies.
