It had been quite a while since I had employed the skills I learned in my life drawing class. I didn't want to haul out the charcoal and mess associated with that, so I decided to see how I would do if I worked in Photoshop with my graphical tablet as if it were charcoal. This is the result. A portait of a girl, not based on any living person. Honestly, it looks better than if I'd have done it by hand because if you initially mess up placement of a feature, it's much easier to move without redoing everything when you are working in photoshop as opposed to paper. None the less, it was nice to stretch my artistic legs, since it had been quite a long time since I'd done anything more than doodle. The girl in the picture was initially based on my Stormy character, but she really has no defining characteristics that mark her a Stormy, so I put her in my regular art gallery instead of in my pony art gallery.
